Motocoaster Rides into Darien Lake for 2008

Darien Lake Gets First New Roller Coaster in 9 Years
It's been a long time coming for the Darien Lake faithful. The park located just outside of Buffalo, New York hasn't received a new roller coaster since Superman: Ride of Steel in 1999. No longer a Six Flags theme park, PARC Management wants to make a splash in 2008 with the addition of a Zamperla Motocoaster.

There hasn't been an official announcement on Darien Lake's site yet, but this story I found on ThemeParkSyndicate and RCDB's listing are enough proof for me. With Canada's Wonderland Behemoth, Ravine Flyer II coming to Waldameer and now this new Motocoaster coming to Darien Lake, that part of the continent is really heating up. Sounds like the perfect recipe for a road trip.

Want to see a Motocoaster in action? Check out this video. Also, you can read the full story here.

I've been on this ride. It is awesome! it works for people who aren't fond of thrill rides like Superman, but the initial speed is a shock in itself. There isn't a long line, and if u bring stuff on the ride with you, go on w/ someone, not by urself. But yeah, it's definately worth the trip. and hint for you: ride in the front car.
