Dollywoods Opens River Battle Water Ride
Dollywood's River Battle ride will feature nine themed rafts with soaker guns that follow a 500-foot channel. As the rafts navigate the waters, the battle begins as passengers, each armed with a soaker gun, take aim at each other and more than 100 targets along the way. River Battle also engages park guests along the ride's banks.
Tony Hawk's Half Pipe Headed to Six Flags America
Six Flags America will be adding a water slide called Tony Hawk's Halfpipe. According to the press release: "Tony Hawk's Halfpipe stands four stories tall and sends Guests flying down one side of its "ramp" to the other at speeds of up to 23 miles per hour." It's not a coaster, but at least Six Flags America is getting something new.
Kalahari Water Park & Resort Planned for Fredericksburg, VA
Kalahari Resorts are privately-owned, African-themed water park destinations. The first two are in the Wisconsin Dells area and in Sandusky, Ohio. Now there's a third and largest one planned for Fredericksburg, VA. (My hometown!)
