Dominator Opens at Kings Dominion

Recently Dominator opened at Kings Dominion. ThemeParkReview has a message board thread with photos from media day. Check out the photos here.

I'm glad Dominator found a new home at my old home park. All those Northern Virginians that I couldn't convince to travel the extra hour south to Busch Gardens will finally get to experience some B&M greatness. Part of the appeal for the Dominator when it was at Geauga was its marshy setting next to the lake. I was afraid this would be an ugly parking lot coaster, but it's good to see that the park is trying to landscape the area.

OK, so I'm definitely heading south this summer. Will probably hit King's Dominion and Carowinds in one trip. Wanna join me? Judy P in Pgh

Good idea. Carowinds and KD are only about 4 or 5 hours from each other. Plus you can use your Cedar Fair pass for both. Skipping Busch Gardens?

I'm sticking to new parks since I only get in a couple trips a year. I'm looking forward to your trip reports and photos though.

Dominator is a good ride. Rode for the first time this past weekend... super smooth, and a blast in the front!
