Mr. Six's Pandemonium | Coaster Reviews

Mr. Six's Pandemonium @ Six Flags New England
Mr. Six is much more than a wild mouse coaster with spinning cars like I thought it was going to be. I made the long haul to Mass. solo so I wasn't too thrilled with the idea of waiting in line for 45 minutes to ride with a bunch of strangers. Then, I noticed a single rider's line with virtually no wait. So I walked onto the ride and was in a car with in about a minute. Meanwhile, the main queue was packed and even bleeding out onto the walkway on a Wednesday. Kudos to SFNE for the single rider line!

The first swooping drop was fun as was the classic mouse-style hairpin turns. The middle section is great as you twist, turn, and drop your way all over the small plot of land. My favorite part was the sort of finale where you drop and twist through a small ravine. The spinning never went overboard or made me sick, at least until we hit the breaks at the end. After hitting the breaks some cars just continue to spin and spin. While others are perfectly still. It must have something to do with the different weights of the riders and how they're situated.

During the ride, the spinning and varied layout were unexpected and a little surprising, but never sickening or incessant. Lastly, for a compact family coaster Mr. Six seemed like a pretty long ride. The ride length, unique layout, spinning cars, and the fact that you can get a slightly different ride depending on your weight distribution make this a great coaster. By far one of the best family roller coasters I've ever ridden. Hopefully we'll see more of these. Hey Shapiro & Snyder! Six Flags America could use one of these! Final Rating - 8.5 (Great-Approaching Excellent) Also, check out this short roller coaster video of Mr. Six's Pandemonium.
